    Purpose of the role: Xhosa Content Management, Editing and Production Support

     

    Description:

    We are seeking a talented individual fluent in Xhosa to join our team as a Content Producer and Sound Engineer. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating, managing, and engineering Xhosa content across our broadcasting platform.  The candidate will play a crucial role in producing high-quality content that resonates with our target audience and reflects our brand values.

     

    Requirements:

    • High proficiency in Xhosa & English
    • Conceptualise, write, and produce all Xhosa audio imaging
    • Work closely with voice over talent in-studio to deliver promos and commercials
    • Collaborate with presenters and content producers
    • Produce on-air Xhosa content for live broadcast on CCFM, including radio shows, podcasts, interviews, and features
    • Develop creative concepts and scripts for Xhosa programming that align with the station’s Christian values and audience interests
    • Coordinate with hosts, guests, and contributors to schedule and record content, ensuring high-quality production standards.
    • Edit and mix audio recordings using industry-standard software, ensuring clarity, adherence to broadcasting regulations.
    • Translate and localize content from English to Xhosa, maintaining accuracy and preserving the intended message and tone
    • Collaborate with the programming team to plan and execute special events, promotions, and campaigns the station’s audience.
    • Stay informed about current events, trends, and issues relevant to the Xhosa audience, and integrate them into programming when appropriate
    • Monitor on-air content for quality control, compliance with station policies, and adherence to Christian principles.

    Technical

    • Key interest in sound engineering and radio production
    • Provide second-line technical support queries
    • Assist with first-line technical support queries when workload requires it.
    • Escalate problems where necessary to third-line support or third-party suppliers.
    • Audio editing knowledge (Adobe Audition advantageous)
