A Full Day...

Today began with some trepidation. The idea of going off to CCFm while we are off air made my heart sink, but off I went at usual time. I had tuned into CCFm in my car radio while it was still in the garage and the aerial was down and only heard fuzz.

Elections 2011....

So today we voted... the day was dominated by voting....the show this morning was largely election focussed. The general consensus from listeners was that everything was going smoothly. A few voting stations opened late. Some were very busy.

A snapshot of my day...

Up early, off to do the show, wrap up loads of music prep & then off to coffee with Riana. I did some shopping after that before heading home. On the way home I forgot to stop a the church to pick up recorded sermons for CCFm.

Living Way...

Today I spent the morning at Living Way, which is part of Living Hope. It was fantastic to see what is happening at Living Way with amazing growth of their vegetable tunnel project, as well as success in breadmaking and baking. More initiatives are in the pipeline.

Buzzing on a Chocolate and Caffeine High...

I came home from work peckish! I had 2 cocktail rolls and then made a large cappuccino.

A Walk Down Memory Lane...

I think this is abundant life: living life to the full, seeing the best side of each day, embracing the joy of little things and appreciating all that God has given. Today, I felt an abundance of blessing and gratitude. I definitely am a 'dates' girl.

Grapevine Christian Fellowship Ladies...

The main event on the agenda for me today was a visit to the Grapevine Christian Fellowship ladies meeting in Durbanville. I woke up at 5-15am and had a quiet time before showering and getting dressed and leaving nice and early.

I had a good trip...

I really shouldn't leave it to the last minute. Quite often I cut it a bit fine...getting into the studio that is. I usually leave my third floor office at 5-55am and get to the studio a minute or so later, giving me three minutes to turn my netbook on before going on air at 6am.

Cleaning out!

I am in the process of cleaning out. It's mainly the wall units that have been irritating me.

There are three wall units...this is the 'before' picture of two of them. I started with the one on the left, but haven't got it finished yet, so you will have to wait for an 'after' photo.

A beautiful day!

The sun is shining and the sky is blue. It's summer having a last minute fling in Cape Town & we are loving it! Not too hot and not too cold. Just right! Not too much wind and no cloud at all.

A Day of Rest....

Today was a "chill" day. I woke up late and at about 10ish made eggs and bacon for the family. Then I just chilled! I have plenty to do but just didn't get on with it.

A lovely day...

Today was a good day! I love nothing better than having loads of company in the studio and today I had Wayne AND three teenagers, which was fun!

Freedom Day...

A stress-free laid back day has been had by all! That's actually endorphins speaking because Mike & I have just returned from a 5km walk/jog.  So all is looking very rosy!

Up at 4am this morning...off to work just after 5am and on air at 6am. A very quiet show.

The day between the two...

It's the day between the two holidays...Family Day and Freedom Day. I knew today would be a quiet day on air and it was. Some people SMSsed in to say they were tucked up in bed.

Quiet Family Day...

Today I woke up when I woke up! It must have been around 6-30am. When I went downstairs to make Mike coffee I found Granny in the kitchen in a small state because she had spilled some tea. I suggested she go back to bed and I would bring her breakfast in bed.

Christ is Risen! HE is risen indeed!

This morning arrived cloudy and cold.
